Amrit Udyan is the garden area in the heart of The President’s Estate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, opens for general public during Udyan Utsav which is held in Feb-March. Closest to the Rashtrapati Bhavan main building is Rectangular Garden where two parallel water channels run north and south, intersecting with two others running from east to west, dividing the garden into a grid of squares. There are sandstone fountains at the intersection of water channels, sandstone fountains. Amrit Udyan has flower beds, lawns, flowering shrubs, hedges, canals and terraces at different levels of varying heights like a colorful pyramid. Herbaceous seasonal flowers in border beds along the pavements and as Lawn edge. Roses are planted on two sides of a long path way in Long Garden. Dahlias on both sides, between the seasonal flowers, of the Long garden. The Circular Garden contains seasonal flowers surrounding bubble fountain construction, which is in the middle. Alongwith Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan has Herbal Garden, Musical Garden and Spiritual Garden.

X'Mas tree Araucaria excelsa  Christmas Tree grow slowly and do not need much repotting. It makes a very elegant small tree for indoor selection. It should be given a very well-lit position and should be turn around at intervals, so that the growths remain symmetrical. If the plant is left in the same position, the shoots will all tend to grow towards the light and the attractive symmetry will be lost.

Palm tree belong to Arecaceae family whereas zamia palm is from Zamiaceae family. Growth of this smallest gymnosperm accelerates after the trunk matures
